We are currently seeking a full‑time Transportation Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. The role supports State and Local Governments on transportation projects requiring detailed design, analysis, and engineering calculations across civil/transportation projects. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential.
Responsibilities- Design complex transportation infrastructure projects, focusing on roadway and highway elements.
- Prepare and review project reports and documentation.
- Communicate and schedule work with the Survey Department.
- Complete work on schedule and within budget.
- Plan and prepare transportation project plans and specifications.
- Conduct periodic on‑site construction observation.
- 10+ years of transportation engineering experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Illinois PE required; PTOE not required but desired.
- Experience with PowerGEOPAK and/or Open Roads Designer preferred.
- IDOT experience preferred; KDOT experience acceptable.
The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently walks and sits; occasionally stands, climbs or balances, and stoops, kneels, or crouches. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
Work environment is indoors with regular office conditions and moderate noise level.

Salary Range: $91,000 – $129,043 (based on qualifications and experience).
