Job Summary
We are looking to add an Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our Finance team in West Des Moines, IA.
Essential Responsibilities- Accurately process basic cash receipts using prescribed workflows and systems with assistance from leader.
- Perform basic day-to-day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording cash receipts data.
- Research and resolve simple issues/discrepancies associated with cash receipts in a timely manner and appropriately communicate with internal and/or external parties when necessary.
- Assist with premium financing for clients with external premium finance companies.
- Assist with daily reconciliation of cash receipts and deposits.
- Education:
High School Diploma required;
Accounting degree preferred. - Experience:
0-2 years accounting experience preferred; insurance agency experience is a plus.
Invests in developing and applying financial knowledge and principles to deliver accurate, high-quality outcomes; utilizes analytical skills to identify opportunities or root causes, evaluate information, and execute effective solutions; actively contributes to established workflows, processes, and deliverables, using systems and resources to provide a world‑class client experience while meeting compliance requirements.
