Non-Exempt General Function:
Performs a variety of general to intermediate operational activities to assist and support the commercial and/or agricultural loan operations department.
- Responsible for processing commercial and/or agricultural loans including preparing all loans submitted and assigned for documentation, reviewing to ensure that documents are accurate and complete, reviewing files for exceptions and adherence to bank policy and regulations.
- Coordinating all necessary pre-closing items including but not limited to appraisals, insurance, flood determinations, or items determined by underwriting, loan policy, or regulatory guidance.
- Preparing, reviewing, disbursing, booking, and servicing commercial and/or agricultural loans, authorizing and preparing documents (i.e. wire, cashier check, general ledger, etc.) for final disbursement of loan proceeds, booking loans in appropriate systems, filing documents to appropriate filing agencies, and ensuring compliance with reporting and regulatory standards.
- Providing exceptional customer service including corresponding, working with vendors or agencies, following up on data, closing loans, notarizing documents, and answering questions.
- Creating, analyzing, maintaining, and updating general to intermediate reports, collateral files, including scanning and accurately filing in appropriate systems.
- Daily monitoring of quality control items and following up with peers for corrections.
- Managing multiple different transactions, loan officers, appraisers, etc. in an efficient and organized fashion.

- Moderate to advanced knowledge of agricultural, business, and banking principles and procedures, commercial and/or agricultural loan operations.
- Moderate to advanced knowledge data processing and loan reporting/processing systems knowledge.
- General knowledge of accounting principles related to loan operations and compliance.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient computer skills. Microsoft Office preferred (Outlook, Power Point, Excel and Word.) Extremely strong attention to detail including ability to review forms for accuracy and completeness.
- Extremely strong spelling and grammatical proficiencies as well as the ability to read and interpret complex documents, policies, and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and interact with people in a friendly, professional manner.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with 3+ years progressive experience in a related role OR Associate’s degree in Business or related field with 5+ years progressive experience in a related role.
Physical RequirementsThis position is classified sedentary/light and requires the ability to sit for long periods of time. Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near range with or without correction. Must be able to perform the following physical activities: sitting for long periods, talking (in person and by telephone), hearing and repetitive motions.
Working ConditionsThe duties of this position are normally performed in a general office setting. This is a fast paced work environment. There is frequent pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a day.
