We have a rare opening for an Occupational Hand Therapist to join the DMOS team! Are you currently CHT certified or are seeking your CHT certification? As an Occupational Therapist with DMOS you will assist patients suffering from injuries to the elbow down to restore function, relieve pain and prevent disability. Work alongside our team of Orthopaedic Hand Surgeons to provide the necessary treatment and care to get patients back to their activities of daily living.

This is a full-time opportunity at our West Des Moines office.

Here’s What You Can Expect

• Develop and plan occupational therapy treatment for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint and bone diseases
• Adhere to Physician recommendations and protocol related to a patient's condition.
• Being on your feet all day, sometimes assisting in transporting, positioning, or holding patients when necessary.

What We’re Looking For

• Individual with active license to practice in the state of Iowa as an Occupational Therapist (OR individual completing a degree in Occupational Therapy with the anticipation of becoming licensed).
• Certification. Currently a Certified Hand Therapist or seeking to obtain credentials
• Communication skills. Ability to communicate calmly and professionally to patients and physicians.
• Curious. You practice the art of listening, asking clarifying questions, and avoiding interrupting your patient.
