Shift: Full-Time: 72 hours biweekly / 12 hour / Day Shift
Description: Mercy One Des Moines Medical Center. Responsible for transporting patients to their appointments, homes, nursing homes, and other locations as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Transport Mercy One patients in a wheelchair van to various locations and appointments.
- Must be capable of navigating to Mercy One facilities and other places around Iowa to ensure accurate and timely transportation of patients.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and scheduled maintenance.
- Must be able to prepare and adjust schedules.
- Requires ability to use IPAD and mobile devices to track and manage assigned trips.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Required
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Required Licensure and
Certifications:
- BLS (CPR) Certification within 6 months of hire. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
Required Minimum
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Valid Driver’s/Chauffeur's License required
- Must meet Mercy’s Motor Vehicle Safety Standards
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Eligible to drive per Iowa state law
- Clean driving record required
