Description:
The Radiologic Technologist plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality urgent care services.
This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures in a fast-paced, ambulatory care environment.
The technologist assists providers and clinical staff in delivering exceptional patient care.
It is essential to ensure all imaging and radiologic procedures meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Diagnostic x-ray exams are performed as ordered by providers using proper exposure techniques such as MA, KV, time, and distance.
Imaging procedures must be clearly explained to patients and families to ensure comfort and understanding.
Radiation protection practices must be applied in accordance with regulatory and safety standards.
Maintaining sterile technique and preventing cross-contamination is necessary.
Regular quality control checks on radiologic and darkroom equipment ensure optimal image quality.
Appropriate imaging records and referral logs must be completed and maintained.
It is essential to ensure all x-ray films and images are stored, tracked, and reviewed in a timely manner.
Coordination with regulatory agencies may be required as needed.
Annual inspections by a certified Radiation Physicist must be verified for successful completion.
Participation in team meetings and staying informed on clinic updates is required.
A positive and collaborative team environment should be contributed to.
Demonstrating initiative in improving quality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction is encouraged.
Additional duties may be assigned to ensure smooth clinic operations.
