Our client is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Generalist to support their manufacturing plant's success through expert employee relations, labor management, and strategic HR initiatives. Work Model:- On-Site
- Assist with employee and labor relations, performance management, and policy interpretation to support a productive and compliant workplace
- Cultivate a positive work environment by promoting employee engagement initiatives and offering coaching to plant personnel
- Coordinate recruitment efforts for bargaining unit and hourly positions, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding activities
- Oversee leave management processes, working closely with vendors and employees to ensure seamless administration
- Collaborate with training, payroll, benefits, EHS, and management teams to support effective onboarding and continuous employee development
- Prepare and distribute HR data, metrics, and reports to plant leadership to support informed decision-making
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives that drive operational effectiveness
- Support responses to unemployment claims, EEOC/civil rights reports, and other regulatory compliance matters
- Maintain confidential HR records while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data integrity
- Serve as a payroll backup and assist with safety and health programs that strengthen the organization's safety culture
- Monitor compliance with federal and state employment laws through notice postings, complaint investigations, and policy recommendations
- Coordinate employee recognition programs, company events, and additional HR-related initiatives
- 3-5 years of HR experience, including employee relations, labor and union relations, and manufacturing exposure
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of labor relations, contract interpretation, and employment compliance requirements
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all organizational levels
- Analytical approach with the ability to evaluate data, create reports, and develop HR policies and procedures
- Familiarity with safety and health standards within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to review and interpret technical procedures, government regulations, and insurance documentation
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and address complex HR issues effectively
