About This Position General Purpose of the Job

Assist in managing a large, mission‑critical network of servers hosting data for ATG software. Support ATG developers as they create and update the Offender Management Suite of programs, including deploying applications, running appropriate scripts, and configuring security to support new versions of the applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Track performance metrics for every network and server administered by the ATG team, including reviewing processors, memory, and hard disk usage.
  • Track each server's successful completion of automated processes such as backup and data exchange interfaces.
  • Respond to notifications (email or pager) from utilities monitoring server availability and key metrics, and work toward handling these issues independently.
  • Complete projects within time estimates with minimal returned work.
  • Keep supervisor informed on project progress.
  • Seek information to update technical skills and business knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by company management.
Physical Demands of the Job

The job requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands, talking, and hearing. Occasionally the employee must reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and lift up to 50 pounds. Close vision and color vision are needed when developing and testing applications under different color schemes.

Work Environment

The job may expose the employee to occasional outdoor weather conditions. Noise level is moderate (business office with computers and printers, light traffic). The employee may work near moving mechanical parts.

What You'll Need

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (four‑year college or university) or three years of progressive work experience in the field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Technical Skills
  • Experience using Windows Server technologies and concepts—Active Directory, DNS, IIS, storage configuration, and Power Shell scripting for repeatable tasks and automation.
  • Experience with VMware technologies—virtual processor, virtual storage configuration, VMware clustering.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles and concepts.
  • Knowledge of key server components (processor, memory, disk) metrics.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience with Linux technologies such as Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat.
  • Independently confirm successful completion of scripts that automate repeatable maintenance tasks such as backups, operations monitoring, and application deployments.
  • Under management guidance, perform script maintenance and complete required software updates to support new versions of ATG applications.
Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
