We are looking to add a Data Engineer to join our Information Technology team in West Des Moines, IA
. This role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines that support our analytical initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Design and implement complex pipelines: build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows from multiple sources using Azure Data Factory, Alteryx, Fabric, dbt, SQL, and other tools.
  • Develop advanced data transformations, aggregations, and custom logic to meet business requirements.
  • Create data models and recommend storage solutions to support analytical needs.
  • Monitor pipelines, conduct root cause analysis for performance issues, and implement improvements.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers on best practices in data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, technology, information systems, or engineering preferred.
  • Experience:

    3‑5 years of professional experience in data, analytics, platform engineering, or related work.
  • Skills:

    Building ETL/ELT dataflows with dbt, Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, or Microsoft Fabric; working with diverse data sources (structured and unstructured); familiarity with APIs or RPA for third‑party data collection;
    Salesforce experience is a plus; knowledge of source control and cloud data storage platforms such as Snowflake or Azure.
  • Technical

    Competencies:

    Strong business and technology knowledge to understand business needs, make informed decisions, and deliver effective solutions; excellent problem‑solving skills to identify issues, determine root causes, and implement improvements.
