We are looking to add a Data Engineer to join our Information Technology team in West Des Moines, IA
. This role focuses on designing, building, and optimizing data pipelines that support our analytical initiatives.
- Design and implement complex pipelines: build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows from multiple sources using Azure Data Factory, Alteryx, Fabric, dbt, SQL, and other tools.
- Develop advanced data transformations, aggregations, and custom logic to meet business requirements.
- Create data models and recommend storage solutions to support analytical needs.
- Monitor pipelines, conduct root cause analysis for performance issues, and implement improvements.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers on best practices in data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, technology, information systems, or engineering preferred. - Experience:
3‑5 years of professional experience in data, analytics, platform engineering, or related work. - Skills:
Building ETL/ELT dataflows with dbt, Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, or Microsoft Fabric; working with diverse data sources (structured and unstructured); familiarity with APIs or RPA for third‑party data collection;
Salesforce experience is a plus; knowledge of source control and cloud data storage platforms such as Snowflake or Azure. - Technical
