Our products are offered through Independent Agents across a six-state territory – Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

IMT Insurance is accepting applications for a Property Claim Representative in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota area. The role involves investigating and attempting settlement of claims submitted by policyholders for property losses. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and excellent service. The representative investigates and evaluates claims involving personal and commercial property, determines proper policy coverage, and applies best claims practices to ensure accurate settlements in accordance with company guidelines.

• Conduct interviews with insureds, claimants, and other interested parties
• Conduct thorough investigations and examine insurance policies to determine coverage
• Inspect damages and prepare written estimates of repair or replacement
• Correspond with insureds, claimants, and other interested parties
• Prepare and report findings and negotiate settlements

• 0 – 3 years of property claims experience preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem‑solving and negotiation skills
• Proficient keyboard/PC skills
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Ability to climb ladder to assess roof damage
• Ability to lift minimum 30 lbs
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license
• Able to travel and stay overnight for storm claim duty

The salary range for this position is $53,000.00–$99,000.00, with starting salary and level depending on experience.

This position does not have tips or commission but may be eligible for additional bonuses.
