Commodity/Account Management And Strategic Sourcing
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional in Commodity/Account Management and Strategic Sourcing. This role involves establishing sourcing goals, ensuring acceptable service levels, and managing the end-to-end procurement process. The ideal candidate will execute competitive bids, negotiate and administer contracts, and analyze pricing proposals to optimize price, quality, timing, and the reliability of supply.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement negotiation strategies for procuring goods, services, and supplies.
- Execute comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Establish and maintain sourcing objectives and service level agreements.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other external partners.
- Perform detailed analysis of price proposals, financial reports, and other relevant data to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, quality standards, reliability, and price competitiveness.
- Conduct supplier research to uphold organizational standards for price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.
- Drive and support the strategic planning process for specific commodities or strategic suppliers.
- Lead the sourcing lifecycle, from Request for Quotation (RFQ) to contract execution.
- Monitor supplier or commodity performance to meet delivery, quality, and cost expectations.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Contracts Management, or a related business field.
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing, including Request for Proposal (RFP) execution, contract negotiations, and Supplier Relationship Management.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and database management.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Background in the government or aerospace industry is highly desirable.
