SBM Management Services, LP is looking for a dedicated Part Time Custodian to join our team in West Des Moines, IA. This role plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across all assigned areas. The position offers flexible Saturday & Sunday shifts from 10:00am to 6:30pm with competitive hourly compensation ranging from $15.50 to $16.50.

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned. We search for a hardworking, dependable individual eager to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. Strong customer service skills and teamwork aptitude are essential.

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain clean work area
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment

• May be required to have a valid driver’s license.
• Completed all safety and task training certification.
• May be required to be forklift certified.
• Bilingual a plus
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willing to share with team
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of the cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
• No specific education requirement, 3-6 months training or experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation: $15.50-$16.50 per hour

Shift: Saturday & Sunday: 10:00am - 6:30pm
