Job Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: West Des Moines, IA
Type: Contract | Full-time | Onsite (5 days/week)
Max Pay Rate: $52/hr
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a high-visibility Higher Risk Customer Management workstream within a regulated financial environment. This role partners closely with another Project Manager who owns the workstream and provides hands-on execution support across meetings, reporting, change management, and delivery tracking.
The ideal candidate brings strong project governance skills, comfort working in fast-paced regulatory programs, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day project management support across a complex Financial Crimes workstream
- Facilitate meetings, capture and distribute meeting minutes, and track action items
- Own and maintain project artifacts including project plans, RAID logs, status reports, and change requests
- Support change management activities and coordinate updates across stakeholders
- Prepare clear, concise reporting for leadership on milestones, risks, and dependencies
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables remain on track
- Support executive-level communications and presentations as needed
- Monitor progress against timelines and escalate risks or issues appropriately
- 5+ years of project management experience in a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of Financial Crimes, AML, BSA, Risk, or Compliance programs
- Proven experience supporting large-scale initiatives or transformation efforts
- Hands-on experience with project governance, reporting, and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
- Experience working on Higher Risk Customer, KYC, CDD, or EDD initiatives
- Prior exposure to audit, regulatory, or risk-driven programs
- Experience supporting executive-level stakeholders
