Overview

Responsibilities- Learn how to set up and operate automatic and manual welding machines according to specifications.
- Learn how to perform cleaning operations as may be required in production.
- Learn how to inspect and check dimensions using precision gauges and measuring instruments.
- Learn alloy and assembly for furnace operations.
- Learn how to operate the CNC equipment as required to complete the weld.
- Perform cleaning operations after welding as may be required to complete the weld.
- Learn how to perform non-production welds.
- Accurately complete production documentation and perform necessary labor transactions.
- Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.
- Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement process as well as safety-related activities.
- Work extended shifts/overtime as required by the business. Some Holiday hours may be required based on business need.
- You Must Have:
Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., GED) or vocational/technical education in related discipline. - Qualifications We Prefer:
Manufacturing background; TIG welding background. - Ability to learn how to read and understand prints.
- Computer experience (email, print documents, internet) and ability to learn how to operate a computer to access prints and/or specified work instructions.
- Basic shop math including knowledge of Geometric Tolerances.
