1st Shift_ Welder​/Brazer I_ Onsite

Overview

• Learn how to set up and operate automatic and manual welding machines according to specifications.
• Learn how to perform cleaning operations as may be required in production.
• Learn how to inspect and check dimensions using precision gauges and measuring instruments.
• Learn alloy and assembly for furnace operations.
• Learn how to operate the CNC equipment as required to complete the weld.
• Perform cleaning operations after welding as may be required to complete the weld.
• Learn how to perform non-production welds.
• Accurately complete production documentation and perform necessary labor transactions.
• Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.
• Actively participate in the Continuous Improvement process as well as safety-related activities.
• Work extended shifts/overtime as required by the business. Some Holiday hours may be required based on business need.

• You Must Have:
  Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g., GED) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
• Qualifications We Prefer:
  Manufacturing background; TIG welding background.
• Ability to learn how to read and understand prints.
• Computer experience (email, print documents, internet) and ability to learn how to operate a computer to access prints and/or specified work instructions.
• Basic shop math including knowledge of Geometric Tolerances.
