What You Will Do- Learn how to set up and operate automatic and manual welding machines according to specifications.
- Learns how to perform cleaning operations as may be required as performed in production.
- Learns how to inspect and check dimensions using precision gauges and measuring instruments.
- Learns alloy and assembly for furnace operations.
- Learns how to operate the CNC equipment as required to complete the weld.
- Performing cleaning operations after welding as may be required to complete the weld.
- Learns how to perform non-production welds.
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications sheets.
- Accurately complete production documentation and performs necessary labor transactions.
- Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.
- Actively participates in the Continuous Improvement process as well as safety related activities.
- Working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business.
- Some Holiday hours may be required based on business need.
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.
- Manufacturing background
- TIG welding background
- Ability to learn how to read and understand prints.
- Computer experience (e-mail, print documents, internet) and ability to learn how to operate a computer to access prints and/or specified work instructions.
- Basic shop math including knowledge of Geometric Tolerances
