Mechanical Manufacturing Technician I West Des Moines IA Contract to Hire– 1st Shift, 5/40

Hours:

7am - 3:30pm Pay Rate: $19.00/Hr.

  • Willingness to work overtime, extended shifts, nonstandard hours, and occasional holidays when required.
Position Summary

Mechanical Manufacturing Technician I Entry-level mechanical manufacturing technician role with no certification required. Learns and trains on calibration-related operations. Prepares and assembles components for final assemblies and subassemblies under direct supervision. Operates production equipment to verify flow, spray angle, and product quality meet specifications. Follows established standard work procedures and works toward certification within 120 days. Escalates problems or deviations to experienced technicians, supervisors, or engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Mechanical Manufacturing Technician I Learn to set up and operate test stands to inspect nozzles, spray bars, and valves for spray quality, angle, and flow.
  • Learn to operate laser marking and printing equipment according to procedures and specifications.
  • Record spray parameters by serial number.
  • Learn to certify product conformance through testing and documentation of results.
  • May learn to disassemble, repair, and assemble products according to specifications.
  • Accurately complete production documentation and labor transactions.
  • Follow EHS, Quality, and Continuous Improvement standards and guidelines.
  • Work under immediate supervision and follow detailed instructions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
  • Work additional hours, extended shifts, nonstandard hours, and some holidays as required by business needs.
  • Perform other assigned duties.
