Ortho Operating Room Supervisor

The Orthopaedic Outpatient Surgery Center (OOSC) is seeking a full‑time Operating Room Supervisor. The OOSC is exclusive to DMOS surgeons performing a wide variety of orthopaedic cases from hand to total joints. This Monday‑through‑Friday position offers a great work‑life balance with no weekend, no holiday or on‑call coverage.

Current unrestricted RN license in Iowa, active BLS & ACLS certification. Two years of prior experience in orthopaedics or an ASC preferred. Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision. Flexibility of hours based on scheduled cases. Excellent organizational, communication and teamwork skills. Ability to handle busy environments and adapt to change.

• Creates, maintains, and supports an environment which fosters teamwork, empowers staff and promotes professional, positive physician and patient relations throughout the center.
• Oversees daily surgery schedule; manages and communicates daily changes throughout all areas in a timely manner. Reviews the following day’s schedule and establishes case order.
• Coordinate with Control staff to verify patient pre‑admission requirements before day of surgery, assist with anesthesia chart reviews / approval, and monitor scheduling sheets for surgeon special requests and patient needs. Monitors healthcare providers to ensure performance is within delineation of privileges and communicates any issues to the Surgical Services Clinical Manager.
• Other duties as assigned to ensure organizational efficiency and outstanding patient care.

OOSC is a privately held joint venture with Unity Point and DMOS medical facility. Current unrestricted RN license in Iowa, BLS & ACLS certification, two years orthopaedic/ASC experience.
