About Our Pediatric Patients

Our pediatric clients range from infants to young adults with medically complex conditions. Every child is unique, and we thoughtfully match nurses based on clinical experience, personality, scheduling preferences, and family needs.

Depending on the child, your nursing responsibilities may include:

  • Ventilator management
  • Tracheostomy care
  • G-Tube/J-Tube feedings
  • Medication administration
  • Respiratory treatments
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Seizure monitoring
  • Skilled assessments
  • Developmental play and interaction

What You'll Do

As a Pediatric Private Duty Nurse, you'll provide skilled nursing care in the child's home while helping them remain safe, healthy, and surrounded by the people who love them.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Comprehensive nursing assessments
  • Medication administration
  • Tracheostomy care and suctioning
  • Ventilator monitoring and management
  • Enteral feeding management
  • Respiratory treatments
  • Vital sign monitoring
  • Electronic documentation
  • Collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
  • Caregiver education
  • Developmentally appropriate interaction and play
  • Delivering compassionate, family-centered care every shift

Qualifications Required
  • Current Iowa RN or LPN License
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
  • Strong communication and assessment skills
  • Ability to work independently
