Acute Care Float Pool Registered Nurse
This position is scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, rotating weekends.
Job DescriptionThe Acute Care Float Pool Registered Nurse provides nursing care to a diverse population of patients across multiple medical-surgical units. The RN must be willing to float to various departments including Orthopedics, Neurology Step Down, Oncology, Surgical Telemetry, and others, as well as to the West Lakes Campus.
Responsibilities- Deliver direct patient care in compliance with established standards and protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and perform regular assessments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on health management and care transition.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Must have a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience in acute care settings preferred.
- Must be willing to float between various medical-surgical specialty areas.
This is a 13-week contract position.
