Pediatric Shift Nurse (LPN/RN) – School & Home-Based Care

Iowa Home Care is seeking a dedicated LPN or RN to provide one-on-one nursing care for a sweet pediatric client in her home and school setting. This is more than a nursing job—it's an opportunity to become a trusted part of a child's support system and help her safely participate in the activities and experiences that every child deserves.
You will accompany and assist this child during school hours, provide skilled nursing care throughout the day, and support her health, safety, and independence in both the home and community. The family is seeking dependable nursing coverage between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, as well as weekend hours, making this an excellent opportunity for nurses looking for flexible scheduling and meaningful one-on-one care.

- Provide skilled nursing care according to physician orders and the individualized care plan.
- Accompany and support the client during school attendance as needed.
- Monitor the client's condition and respond appropriately to health needs throughout the day.
- Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as ordered.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
- Communicate effectively with family members, school personnel, physicians, and the Iowa Home Care clinical team.
- Promote a safe, healthy, and supportive environment that allows the client to thrive at home and at school.
- Build a trusting, positive relationship with the client and family while serving as a consistent and dependable presence in her daily life.
- Advocate for the client's well-being, comfort, and quality of life.

Qualifications Qualifications- Current Iowa LPN or RN license in good standing.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
- Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and assessment skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional care.
