A day in the life…Wondering what a day in the life of an Endoscopy Tech Supervisor at The Iowa Clinic might look like?
- Arrive at work in the morning – no night shifts here!
- Work with Endoscopy Center personnel in providing quality patient care and services
- Work as a team, providing assistance, and sharing responsibilities
- Act as a preceptor and ongoing mentor for Endo Techs
- Order and maintain supply and equipment inventory
- Performs duties related to the cleaning, re-processing, and maintaining endoscopes and accessories
- Assists the physician during procedure
- Interview and hire Endoscopy Technicians, trains, and mentors new staff
- Assist with staff schedules, approving leave time and timecards
- Complete annual evaluations of the technician staff, identify opportunities for recognition and continuing education
- Leave in the evening – hooray for working standard clinic hours!
- A desire to find a meaningful, fulfilling career
- Previous Endoscopy experience
- Exceptional patient skills
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- A positive and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to assist physicians in professional manner
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Maintain BLS Certification
- Prior clinical experience in endoscopic procedures
- You love exceeding people’s expectations
