Home Health Wound Care Nurse (RN) – Part-Time For the Love of Home At Iowa Home Care, we believe healing happens best  are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Part-Time Home Health Wound Care Nurse. This position is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about wound management, patient education, and helping individuals achieve the best possible outcomes in the comfort of their own homes.

As a Home Health Wound Care Nurse, you will provide specialized wound assessments, treatments, and ongoing clinical oversight while collaborating with physicians, patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team. This position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients while making a direct impact on their healing and quality of life.

Assess, monitor, and treat a variety of wounds, including surgical wounds, pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, vascular wounds, and traumatic injuries.

Perform wound measurements, staging, documentation, and ongoing evaluation of healing progress.

Administer wound care treatments in accordance with physician orders and evidence-based practices.

Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding wound care, prevention strategies, nutrition, and disease management.

Monitor for signs and symptoms of infection or complications and communicate changes in condition to the physician and care team.

Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, aides, and other healthcare professionals.

Complete Start of Care, Recertification, Resumption of Care, and Discharge assessments as assigned.

Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record.

Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.

Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and agency regulations.

Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Iowa.

Minimum one year of nursing experience required.

Home health and/or wound care experience preferred.

Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical documentation skills.

Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.

Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.

Current CPR certification.
