JOB DESCRIPTION
As the full-time Store Team Leader, you are the CEO of your store. You are an entrepreneurial‑minded business owner who takes pride in maximizing the daily operations of your store. You are passionate about developing a strong team through effective coaching and training, and you are a pro at making tough, strategic decisions to drive your business. You consistently deliver operational excellence, and your store always adheres to AEO Brand Standards.

- Drive results by maximizing overall store productivity and building guest loyalty through a best‑in‑class guest experience. Create, manage, and own the store’s business plan to meet KPI goals.
- Use ownership of the controllable elements of the store’s P&L to analyze reporting and daily sales trends, making real‑time, innovative business decisions to achieve financial goals.
- Recruit, hire, and retain a high‑performing team. Advocate for the team’s development, encourage pursuit of internal opportunities, and maintain a clear succession plan. Develop store leadership through training, performance feedback, development plans, and annual reviews.
- Champion a culture of teamwork and recognition by establishing and communicating goals, holding the team accountable to brand standards, and celebrating outstanding performance daily.
- Maintain AEO Brand Visual Standards by owning all visual and merchandising processes. Serve as the go‑to for floorsets, merchandise adjustments, and replenishment so the team always understands their role in keeping the store guest‑ready.
- Optimize workforce management by evaluating traffic, calendars, and payroll reports to create effective schedules that meet business needs. Keep payroll in check and leverage top talent for an impeccable guest experience.
- Demonstrate integrity in compensation decisions, audit and shrink results, and adherence to AEO policies and procedures. Always do the right thing.

- You have led functional retail teams; practice makes perfect.
- You can multi‑task with strong attention to detail, priority‑setting, and time management.
- You understand how to lead and develop teams and have a general knowledge of employment law.
- You possess effective communication and conflict management skills.
- You have business acumen and can analyze reporting to drive sales.
