Product Buyer - Event Gifting

Full Time Professional Office - Des Moines, IA West Des Moines, IA, US

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Product Buyer – Event Gifting is responsible for independently planning and executing Event Gifting programs from concept through final delivery. This role owns all aspects of assigned programs, including proposal development, supplier sourcing, pricing, and execution, ensuring programs are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.

Event Gifting supports corporate events and broader ITA Group solutions by delivering meaningful products and experiences that enhance the attendee experience. The Product Buyer manages 30+ programs annually and plays a key role in delivering successful client outcomes.

As an independent contributor, the Product Buyer is accountable for program-level decision-making, supplier management, financial performance, and execution success. This role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously while contributing to team collaboration and continuous improvement efforts.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Two to four years’ experience in purchasing, inclusive of order management and accounting reconciliation
  • Experience in a cross-functional, corporate environment
  • Knowledge of group event industry a plus
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Experience in merchandise pricing (margin and/or mark-up)
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work the time necessary to complete projects and/or meet deadlines.
