Team members play an active role in fostering connections and supporting a creative, guest-focused atmosphere.
This is a part-time, on-site Salesperson role located in West Des Moines, IA. The Salesperson will greet guests, explain the candle-making process, and guide them through selecting fragrances and products. Daily responsibilities include answering questions, making product recommendations, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized studio space. The role involves supporting private events and group sessions by assisting with setup, providing hands-on instruction, and ensuring a positive guest experience.
The Salesperson will also help monitor inventory, restock shelves, and contribute to promotional activities and social media content as needed.
- Customer service and sales skills, including the ability to engage guests, understand needs, and make thoughtful product recommendations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to guide groups, explain processes clearly, and support a welcoming studio environment.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple guests, events, and tasks while maintaining studio cleanliness and order.
- Basic point-of-sale, cash handling, and retail operations skills for processing transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Interest in fragrance, crafts, or hands-on creative activities, with a willingness to learn candle-making techniques.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift light to moderate items, and assist with event setup and breakdown.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and peak event times as needed.
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or event support is beneficial but not required.
