As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in West Des Moines, IA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a respected financial institution location as an unarmed patrol officer, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thursday: 03:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Friday: 03:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 06:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Sunday: 06:00 PM – 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while documenting observations and following post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, lobbies, and other restricted areas to help deter unauthorized access, assist authorized visitors, and report suspicious behavior.
• Support staff, visitors, and/or contractors by providing directions, answering questions, and communicating important site information in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
