Security Officer Overnight Patrol

As a Security Officer Patrol Operations in West Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as financial institutions. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents, deliver outstanding customer service, support access control needs, and communicate with professionalism.

• Job Schedule: Mon / Tue / Fri / Sat / Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the banking location, including lobbies, offices, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
• Monitor access points and help deter unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations by maintaining awareness of people, property, and daily site activity.
• Support opening and closing routines, observe for unusual conditions, and report maintenance, life protection, and other security‑related concerns according to site procedures.

• Have at least 2 years of security‑related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screening as required.

• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
