Transdev is seeking a high-caliber workshop technician with a passion for working on the large variety of vehicles. Ensuring this is carried out is a safe, compliant, efficient, cost-effective repair. The maintenance of all equipment and vehicles is essential to achieve the highest levels of Customer Service in line with agreed contractual service level agreements.
Job Description- To work in an internal and external customer-related way in accordance with adopted procedures and good practice.
- To assist in/manage the identification, development and implementation of Manual and Information Technology systems and procedures
- Full repair and maintenance on cars, vans, electric vehicles, buses, coaches, and HGV vehicles, accident repairs and refurbishment, minor welding repairs, body and chassis parts repairs using hand and power tools
- Maintain and install all electrical components, including lights, starting and charging systems, General services, and MOT preps for the vehicles

- Comply with Health & Safety directives and policies issued by the company
- Refrain from the willful misuse or interference with anything provided in the interests of health, safety, and welfare
- Refrain from any action that might endanger yourself, other employees, customers, or members of the public
- Cooperate with the Company in attending and actively participating in any health and safety-related training courses as required
- Immediately report any hazard, faulty equipment, or health and safety concern to the appropriate department and ensure any action is taken to make the hazard safe
- Excellent team player
- Keen eye for detail
- Experience in Bus / Coach and HGV maintenance fitting and repairs
- NVQ Level 3 in HGV/PSV maintenance and repair
- IRTEC in PSV Inspection (Desirable)
- 48 hours a week
- 12 hour shifts
- 4 on 4 off
- 3 years + mechanic experience
- Proven track record of working in a comparable role
- Qualified to a certificate of higher education trade qualification
- HGV /PCV driving licence would be preferred
- Good knowledge of mechanical / electrical and body maintenance and repairs
