An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced PSV Technician or HGV Mechanic to join a professional fleet maintenance team responsible for keeping a large and diverse commercial vehicle fleet operating safely and efficiently.
Whether your background is in buses, coaches, HGVs or commercial vehicles, you'll be joining a well-equipped workshop where quality, teamwork and safety are at the heart of everything we do.
PSV Technician /HGV Mechanic
- The Role
As a Technician, you will carry out planned maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs to ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest safety and performance standards.
PSV Technician /HGV Mechanic
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
Complete repairs efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
Carry out MOT preparation and safety inspections.
Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately.
Identify additional defects and parts required during repairs.
Work closely with the workshop team to ensure maintenance schedules are achieved.
Support and mentor apprentices where required.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Ensure all work complies with DVSA standards and Health & Safety legislation.
PSV Technician / HGV Mechanic-What We're Looking For
We're looking for experienced technicians who take pride in delivering quality workmanship and enjoy working as part of a close-knit team.
Essential
Previous experience as a PSV Technician, Bus Mechanic, HGV Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician
City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience carrying out servicing, repairs and inspections on heavy vehicles.
Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
