Position Description

At Park Construction, Construction Interns gain hands‑on industry knowledge and experience to understand how the full range of construction activities are completed efficiently and successfully. Our goal is to expose interns to both field and office operations, providing well‑rounded insight into the construction industry and business.

This opportunity may be based in either Minnesota or North Dakota.

This position is classified as Safety‑Sensitive.

  • Assist with the day‑to‑day management of project operations, personnel, and processes while learning all facets of the construction industry
  • Support Project Managers with technical compliance and oversight of construction activities and field operations
  • Assist Field Superintendents in documenting daily and weekly progress reports
  • Support quality and quantity reporting
  • Assist with estimating activities, including quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, and cost review
  • Support preconstruction and bidding efforts by gathering project information and organizing documentation
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, and related technical documents
  • Assist with project scheduling and coordination
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Position Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Full‑time college or university student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of construction technology, equipment, methods, and industry practices, including their impact on project activities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to read, write, and interpret reports, manuals, and correspondence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self‑starter with a proactive mindset and the ability to adapt to a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team of professionals
