The Construction Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing comprehensive project schedules that support successful project delivery. This role serves as a scheduling subject matter expert, providing critical schedule forecasting, risk analysis, progress tracking, and recovery planning for commercial construction projects. The Scheduler partners with project teams to identify scheduling risks, ensure alignment with project milestones, and support proactive decision making throughout the project lifecycle.
This role serves as an internal subject matter expert and trusted advisor, helping project teams leverage technology, data, and best practices to improve project outcomes. This is non-traveling, in office position.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and update resource loaded project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Create baseline schedules for preconstruction and execution phases.
- Analyze project progress and schedule performance against established milestones and project objectives.
- Identify critical path activities, schedule constraints, and potential project risks.
- Lead schedule review meetings with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients.
- Develop look ahead schedules, milestone reports, schedule narratives, and executive reporting packages.
- Perform schedule impact analyses related to change orders, delays, disruptions, and project modifications.
- Support the preparation of time extension requests and schedule related documentation.
- Develop recovery and acceleration plans when project performance falls behind schedule objectives.
- Validate subcontractor schedules and integrate activities into master project schedules.
- Monitor resource loading, productivity trends, and schedule forecasting to support project planning.
- Recommend process improvements and scheduling best practices to enhance overall project performance.
- Maintain schedule documentation and ensure compliance with project contract requirements.
We're Seeking Individuals Who:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ or more years of scheduling experience supporting commercial construction projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Experience developing and maintaining CPM schedules for large scale construction projects.
- Strong understanding of resource loading, earned value concepts, schedule forecasting, and delay analysis.
