Engineering Technician

Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring an Engineering Technician for a manufacturing company in West Fargo, ND. In this role, you'll support product design, troubleshooting, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives while working hands-on with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and automation systems. • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems
• Repair and optimize existing door systems while supporting new product development projects
• Create and update detailed mechanical drawings using Solid Works 3D CAD software
• Conduct engineering tests to verify system functionality, performance, and reliability
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to improve designs and manufacturing processes
• Document troubleshooting activities, test results, and project outcomes accurately

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree in Mechatronics, Automation, or related field preferred
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• PLC/HMI troubleshooting experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
• Basic computer networking knowledge preferred
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and work in both office and production environments
• Reliable attendance and willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites for troubleshooting and documentation
