Caterpillar currently has an opening for an Shop Technician II position supporting Reman Drivetrain located in the West Fargo, ND facility. The Shop Technician II can proficiently operate a variety of tools and equipment to assemble and disassemble product with advanced complexity.

Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years job related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Previous hoist experience required
  • Must possess ability to learn new tasks and be able to read/write and interpret standard work instructions
General Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Required to utilize various computer systems such as PinPoint, CRDL Production Systems and Teams Forms.
  • Effectively performs basic and advanced assembly and disassembly operations
  • Can identify and accurately categorize wear patterns of parts
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively use hand tools, power tools, gauges, presses, torque measuring devices and/or other equipment to ensure conformance to quality specifications
  • Ability to safely use overhead cranes/hoists and/or electric pallet jacks to move parts in and out of area.
  • Assists in the development of new assembly and disassembly procedures
  • Use precision measuring devices to effectively assemble and/or disassemble final product
  • Able to effectively train other techs in various assembly and disassembly operations
  • Assist in identifying issues and initiating corrective action processes as necessary
  • Participate in the CI/PID Process
  • Ability to understand labeling and flow of work in progress
  • Ability to understand and follow SWI's and daily Production Schedules
  • Ability to adhere to facility policies to include good attendance and company values
  • Candidates will work in an environment without close supervision.
  • Any duties or tasks that may be assigned to promote cross training or support for various areas of the shop
  • Other duties as assigned

Compensation & Benefits Offered!

  • Hourly Pay Range: $22.21 - $28.26 (salary negotiations to be offered based on skills/experiences
  • 2nd shift

    Work Hours:

    4:15PM - 2:45AM
  • 2nd shift will receive an additional 7% night shift premium.
  • Monday - Thursday with occasional overtime on Fridays
  • 40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime
  • 80 hours of vacation with an additional 24 hours of paid Personal Time Off (PTO)
  • 10 Paid holidays
  • 100% 401k match up to 6% offered on day 1 of employment
