We are a growing custom fabrication and precision machining company serving industrial customers throughout the Midwest. We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer with strong Solid Works, Fusion 360 or similar program experience who enjoys designing real-world products and working closely with manufacturing from concept through production.

Responsibilities- Design and develop custom fabricated and machined components using Solid Works, Fusion 360 or similar program
. - Create detailed manufacturing drawings, assemblies, weldments, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Reverse engineer existing parts and equipment.
- Work directly with production, machining, welding, and fabrication teams to improve manufacturability.
- Support prototype development, testing, and product improvements.
- Review customer drawings and specifications to ensure manufacturability.
- Assist with estimating material requirements and production methods.
- Maintain engineering documentation and revision control.
- Provide technical support to sales, purchasing, and manufacturing departments.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve production efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency with Solid Works, Fusion 360 or similar program
. - Experience creating fabrication, machining, and assembly drawings. preferred
- Strong understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
- Knowledge of machining processes including CNC milling, turning, and fabrication.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience with sheet metal, structural steel, weldments, and custom fabrication.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
- Experience with CNC programming or CAM software.
- Understanding of welding processes and manufacturing methods.
- +3 years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment
