Contract Accountant
Our client in West Hartford, Connecticut is seeking a Contract Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and help maintain accurate financial records. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who can quickly adapt, manage multiple priorities, and contribute to a fast-paced team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Prepare account reconciliations and financial reports
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Assist with variance analysis and ad hoc reporting
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting procedures
