Senior Asset Accountant

• Support reconciliation activities and close processes for the Enterprise Services Fixed Asset Accounting team

• Prepare General Ledger accounting entries

• Perform Balance Sheet Reconciliations

• Analyze data and take corrective action related to accounting activities

• Provide PwC, DCAA, and Internal Audit support

• Perform financial reporting, process improvements, and ad hoc projects

• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting, Business Accounting, and the SAP Competency Center

• Potentially support Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, Payroll, Timekeeping, Sales, Use, & Property Tax, Global Disbursements, and Contracts to Cash

• Support fixed and intangible asset processing, including capitalizations, transfers, and retirements

• Monitor assets under construction

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 2+ years of experience, OR an Advanced Degree in a related field
• Experience with general accounting processes, including reconciliation, closing activities, General Ledger accounting entries, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and audit support
• Experience with SAP/S4
  
  Hana or another major ERP system for transaction processing, fixed asset accounting, asset configuration, and report generation
• 2+ years of experience with Fixed Asset Accounting
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Advanced experience with Excel macros and Power BI
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and process improvement
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize critical tasks and manage multiple commitments
• Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) preferred
