Our client, a well-established and highly respected CPA firm, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their growing team. This position supports the firm's outsourced accounting and bookkeeping practice, providing accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to gain broad exposure, work directly with experienced leaders, and develop into a well-rounded accounting professional.
Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain client financial records
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts
- Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules
- Support financial statement preparation
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Work directly with clients to address accounting and bookkeeping needs
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and firm procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Public accounting, bookkeeping, or outsourced accounting experience is a plus
- Strong Excel and general accounting system skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and desire to learn
