The Intensive Education Academy (IEA) is thrilled to announce a unique opportunity for a dynamic and passionate music educator to join our team as a part-time position Music Teacher. In this role you will have the chance to inspire students through the power of music, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Our vibrant community, deeply interested in both theater and music, provides an enriching environment for collaborative and creative endeavors.

Students benefit from a rich cultural atmosphere that encourages exploraton and expression through music and theater. The position will report to the Director of Education.

Job Summary:

* Plan and deliver music lessons that align with curriculum standards and cater to students' diverse learning styles.

* Assess student musical abilties and progress to tailor instruction accordingly.

* Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music education into interdisciplinary projects.

* Coordinate with other professional staff members for school-wide events and performances.

* Encourage creativity and self-expression through music education.

* Document teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes.

* Foster positive relationships with students and parents, encouraging involvement in students' musical education.

Qualifications:

* Music Education Certification

* Demonstrated proficiency in music theory, performance, and education

* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to create a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere

* Understanding of and appreciation for the role of music in education
