Paraeducators
Location: Thames River Magnet Elementary School
Start Date: August 31, 2026
Hourly Rate: $17.94 per hour – Wages in accordance with the CBA for the Groton Paraeducators Chapter CSEA/SEIU Local 2001
Qualifications- Possess one (1) of the following:
- Completed two years of college credit (60 credits total)
- Hold an associate's (or higher) degree
- Passed the Para Pro/Para Pathways Assessment within 90 days of start date
- Ability to work with children with multiple needs
- Capacity to implement lessons written by the Special Education Teacher
- Ability to work cooperatively with Administration, Regular Education Teachers, other assigned Staff, and Parents
- Flexible, dependable, and responsive to new ideas and direction
