Step into an impactful role supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This full-time contract position focuses on students in 1st and 2nd grade, providing you the opportunity to nurture academic and social growth in a collaborative setting. The position runs from August 2026 through June 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule and weekly hours ranging from 32.5 to 37.5.
KeyQualifications:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly 1st and 2nd grades
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and families
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment
- Provide specialized instruction to meet IEP goals for students with varying abilities
- Develop, implement, and assess IEPs in partnership with team members and parents
- Create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student strengths and needs
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as required
- Maintain clear records and participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
