Special Education Teacher

Step into an impactful role supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. This full-time contract position focuses on students in 1st and 2nd grade, providing you the opportunity to nurture academic and social growth in a collaborative setting. The position runs from August 2026 through June 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule and weekly hours ranging from 32.5 to 37.5.

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly 1st and 2nd grades
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and families
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment

• Provide specialized instruction to meet IEP goals for students with varying abilities
• Develop, implement, and assess IEPs in partnership with team members and parents
• Create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student strengths and needs
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as required
• Maintain clear records and participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
