Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Sr. Systems/embedded Engineer to help drive the development of next-generation intelligent lighting and control systems. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in shaping innovative electronic products from concept through production within a collaborative, fast-moving engineering environment.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in embedded electronics design, strong systems-level thinking, and a passion for building robust, manufacturable hardware solutions. This role offers significant ownership, technical influence, and the ability to directly impact product architecture and performance.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect, design, and develop embedded electronic systems for advanced lighting and control products
  • Lead hardware bring-up, integration, debugging, and system validation activities
  • Evaluate and evolve existing product architectures to improve performance, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Collaborate closely with firmware and software engineering teams to ensure seamless system-level integration
  • Develop clear technical documentation, design specifications, and system architecture definitions
  • Support design verification, reliability testing, regulatory considerations, and transition into volume manufacturing
  • Partner with manufacturing teams during product development and launch phases to ensure successful production readiness
  • Travel occasionally to manufacturing facilities in Connecticut during critical development and launch activities

What You’ll Bring

  • Extensive hands-on experience designing and debugging embedded electronic systems from concept through production
  • Strong mixed-signal hardware design expertise across both analog and digital domains
  • Proven ability to independently develop schematics and execute PCB layouts for production hardware
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer or equivalent PCB design tools
  • Solid understanding of component placement, grounding strategies, signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC best practices
  • Deep knowledge of microcontroller-based systems and embedded hardware integration
  • Experience designing for manufacturability, reliability, validation, and manufacturing launch support
  • Ability to analyze, maintain, and improve legacy schematics and board-level designs
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset with disciplined technical documentation practices
  • Comfortable operating in a lean, highly collaborative engineering environment with substantial ownership and accountability
  • Team-oriented approach with strong communication and problem-solving skills

Why This Opportunity

This role offers the chance to work on sophisticated real-world products in an engineering-driven environment where your contributions will have immediate visibility and impact. You’ll join a team focused on innovation, product quality, and practical execution while helping shape the future of intelligent lighting and control technologies.
