Senior Financial Analyst

• Responsible for providing financial leadership and decision support to our Category Management and Product Management Teams while managing the total global BLACK+DECKER Brand P&L.
• Support the execution around the strategy of our BLACK+DECKER team including category analysis, portfolio analysis, global marketing, new product development, and entry into new markets.
• Define the appropriate focus areas and portfolio families (i.e. geography, customer, brand, market share, margin, etc.) specific to the Tools & Outdoor industry, driving portfolio growth and margin expansion.
• Maintain a new product roadmap funnel that achieves the strategic goals of the BLACK+DECKER Brand – focusing on Global Revitalization – while maintaining the proper capital and cost results.
• Develop and maintain strong collaborative partnerships across all facets of the organization (i.e. Commercial, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Finance, etc.) – driving process enhancement and leading to full global P&L excellence within the BLACK+DECKER Brand.
• Evaluate financial potential of New Product Development (NPD) programs using Return on Capital (ROC) models.
• Review key NPD metrics –IRR, NPV, and Payback.
• Drive process improvements to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function.

• BS in Finance, Accounting or Economics with strong analytical skills.
• 3+ years of finance or business-related experience.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, interpersonal effectiveness, and leadership.
• Strong problem solving, business case development, and communication skills.
• High business acumen and increased collaboration with both cross-functional and business leaders.
• Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, knowledge of Hyperion HFM and SAP or their equivalent.
• Power BI and/or Alteryx experience a plus.

Demonstrates strong financial leadership and analytical capabilities, with expertise in managing P&L, conducting category and portfolio analysis, and driving new product development within the Tools & Outdoor industry. Proficient in financial modeling and process improvement, fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams.
