Speech Pathologist
Speech-Language Pathologist role available for in-person service at two schools in West Hartford, CT, from now through June 10, 2025. This full-time contract position supports preschool and kindergarten students starting August 28, working 35 hours per week from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver speech-language therapy addressing assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language skills, articulation, voice, oral‑motor function, feeding, and receptive/expressive language delays
- Conduct diagnostic and evaluation testing as appropriate
- Prepare clear, comprehensive reports from student assessments and observations
- Develop and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with parents and peers regarding student progress and support needs
- Must hold or be eligible to hold a Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) license and a teaching certificate issued by the Connecticut Department of Education (DOE)
- Previous school‑based experience is a plus but not required
- Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a collaborative mindset are essential
