Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Sr. Manager in our West Hartford location. This role responsible for developing, leading, and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain strategy for aerospace manufacturing, maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO), or defense operations. This role oversees procurement, supplier management, materials planning, logistics, inventory control, and supply chain risk management to ensure on-time delivery, quality compliance, and cost-effectiveness while meeting stringent aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements.
The Snr Manager Supply Chain collaborates closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Line Directors, Finance, and key suppliers to support business growth, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. The Senior Manager Supply Chain will report directly to the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership- Develop and execute the organization's aerospace supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead supply chain transformation initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Establish supply chain KPIs and monitor performance to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve inventory turns, and enhance supplier performance.
- Direct strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier selection activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers, OEMs, subcontractors, and distribution partners.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, financial health, capacity, and compliance requirements.
- Lead supplier development programs and corrective action initiatives when necessary.
- Negotiate long-term agreements to secure supply continuity and favorable commercial terms.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, ITAR, EAR, and other aerospace industry requirements.
- Optimize logistics networks to improve delivery performance and reduce transportation costs.
- Develop supply chain risk mitigation strategies addressing shortages, geopolitical risks, quality concerns, and supplier disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace standards such as AS9100, FAA regulations, EASA requirements, and customer-specific mandates.
- Lead business continuity planning and supply chain resilience initiatives.
- Monitor supplier quality and support regulatory and customer audits.
- Manage supply chain budgets, forecasting, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Analyze total cost of ownership and implement productivity improvements.
- Support profitability objectives through strategic sourcing and operational efficiencies.
- Lead and mentor procurement, planning, logistics, and supply chain professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop succession plans and talent strategies within the supply chain organization.
- Promote employee engagement and professional development.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Master's degree (MBA or related discipline) preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience within aerospace, aviation, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing global supply chain operations.
- Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing, supplier management, planning, logistics, and inventory optimization.
- Experience supporting aerospace production programs, MRO operations, or defense contracts.
- Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing and supply chain processes.
- Knowledge of AS9100, FAA, EASA, ITAR, EAR, and defense industry requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
- Advanced analytical, forecasting, and supply chain modeling capabilities.
- APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- APICS Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or Master Black Belt
