Production Supervisor
Location:
West Hartford, CT
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday Compensation:$75,000 – $85,000 annually
Employment Type:
Direct Hire or Contract-to-Hire (for the right candidate)
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced
Manufacturing Production Supervisor to lead daily production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising production personnel, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, driving productivity, and promoting continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on leader looking to join a growing organization.
- Supervise and lead production employees on 1st shift.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production schedules to meet customer demands.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Coach, train, and develop production team members.
- Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and equipment utilization.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to resolve production issues.
- Track production metrics and prepare daily production reports.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Experience with production scheduling and workflow management.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to read production schedules, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software/ERP systems is preferred.
- Experience in metal manufacturing, machining, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Experience working in ISO-regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Competitive salary of $75,000–$85,000, based on experience.
