Production Supervisor

Location:

West Hartford, CT

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday Compensation:$75,000 – $85,000 annually

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced

Manufacturing Production Supervisor to lead daily production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising production personnel, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, driving productivity, and promoting continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead production employees on 1st shift.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production schedules to meet customer demands.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Coach, train, and develop production team members.
  • Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and equipment utilization.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to resolve production issues.
  • Track production metrics and prepare daily production reports.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Experience with production scheduling and workflow management.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read production schedules, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software/ERP systems is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in metal manufacturing, machining, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.
  • Experience working in ISO-regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
