We’re seeking a Production Specialist who’s ready to take on the challenge of leading our production floor and driving results.
Job Summary:As a Production Specialist, you’ll manage daily operations on the production floor. You’ll oversee a team of operators and technicians, ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity targets are met. Your hands-on leadership will keep things running smoothly — from scheduling and training to troubleshooting and process improvement.
Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to schedules
- Monitor production output and quality, making adjustments as needed to meet standards and deadlines
- Enforce safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, escalating complex problems to maintenance or engineering as needed
- Track attendance, approve timecards, and participate in performance reviews
- Lead daily shift meetings, communicate goals, and report on key metrics
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute ideas for greater efficiency
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date (logs, reports, etc.)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field a plus. - 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and coach a diverse team
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to make quick decisions under pressure
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (MS Office, ERP systems)
