We are seeking multiple experienced CNC Mill-Turn Machinists for Mid-Level, Senior, and Lead opportunities within a high-precision manufacturing environment.

These are hands-on machining positions focused on setting up and operating CNC mill-turn/multitasking equipment to produce complex precision components using combined turning and milling operations. Candidates should have experience with CNC machining, independent setups, blueprint reading, GD&T, precision measurement, and troubleshooting.

More experienced candidates may also be responsible for advanced CNC programming, multi-axis machining, process development and optimization, first-article approval, complex troubleshooting, mentoring, and technical leadership.

• Set up and operate CNC mill-turn/multitasking machines
• Install and align chucks, collets, fixtures, tail stocks, steady rests, and work holding
• Load and qualify turning tools, live tooling, milling cutters, drills, and probes
• Establish work offsets, tool offsets, spindle orientation, and probing routines
• Run and edit CNC programs using G-code or conversational controls
• Perform combined turning and milling operations, including:
  • OD/
  • Facing, grooving, and threading
  • Live-tool milling
  • Cross-drilling
  • Off-axis machining
  • Multi-axis contouring
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, CAD data, and GD&T
• Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes
• Make adjustments for tool wear and dimensional control
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, fixturing, and material issues
• Optimize speeds and feeds to maintain quality, productivity, and tool life
• Perform routine machine care and preventive maintenance
• Complete required travelers and inspection documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Independently run complex jobs from setup through completion
• Program, edit, and optimize CNC programs for combined turning and milling operations
• Develop machining sequences and strategies for complex components
• Perform advanced multi-axis and completed-in-one-setup machining
• Optimize feeds, speeds, tooling, and toolpaths to improve cycle time and tool life
• Support new-job prove-outs and process development
• Troubleshoot complex tooling, fixturing, machine, and material issues
• Validate setups and approve first-article parts prior to production
• Perform and verify advanced in-process and final inspections
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production to resolve manufacturing issues
• Mentor and train other machinists
• Provide technical guidance on setups, programming, tooling, GD&T, and machining best practices
• Support daily production priorities and workflow
• Lead by example in safety, quality, efficiency, and workmanship

• High school diploma or GED required; technical machining training or apprenticeship preferred
• 3+ years of CNC machining experience involving mill-turn, multitasking, or multi-axis equipment
• Working knowledge of combined CNC turning and milling processes
• Ability to perform independent machine setups
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills
• Experience with work offsets, tool offsets, tooling, and work holding
• Ability to hold close tolerances and consistently produce high-quality precision components
• Proficiency using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and machining troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and productivity standards
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

• CNC programming using G-code, conversational controls, and/or CAM software
• Experience with Mazak, DMG Mori, Okuma, Doosan, or similar mill-turn equipment
• Live tooling and multi-axis machining experience
• Complex job setup and process-development experience
• Aerospace, medical, defense, energy, job shop, or other high-precision manufacturing experience
• ISO, AS9100, or similar quality-system experience
• Previous mentoring, training, or hands-on leadership experience
