CNC Machinist

Job Description

The CNC Machinist will operate and program 3-axis milling machines and CNC lathes to support high volume, mass production. As an individual contributor, the machinist plays a crucial role in ensuring precise machining operations while adhering to safety standards and production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines for optimal performance and accuracy
• Program CNC machines to meet specific production requirements
• Perform quality inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and finish
• Maintain CNC equipment through regular upkeep and minor repairs
• Select and install appropriate cutting tools for each job
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Monitor production to maintain efficiency and output quality
• Follow safety protocols and maintain workplace safety compliance
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions
• Handle materials carefully during loading and unloading processes

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in CNC machining
• Proficiency in CNC programming and operation
• Strong skills in blueprint reading and interpreting
• Experienced in various machining operations and precision measurement
• Mechanical aptitude with sound problem-solving abilities
• High attention to detail in all machining tasks
• Knowledge of safety procedures and workplace regulations
