American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a 2nd shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience and a CT or compact RN license.

• Behavioral Health unit within a psychiatric hospital setting
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM
• Occasional weekend coverage, primarily Monday-Friday schedule
• Patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7 depending on acuity
• No floating requirements
• No on‑call requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• De‑escalation certification preferred, with training provided if needed
• Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health/Psychiatry experience required
• Recent 1-2 years of LTC/SNF/Assisted Living experience required
• Meditech charting experience preferred

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with conditions including anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, PTSD, psychotic disorders, and trauma‑related disorders
• Experience in treatment settings such as child/adolescent, eating disorders, forensic, geriatric, inpatient, locked unit, and medical/psych preferred
• COVID vaccination and booster status required for consideration
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted within a 50 mile radius at the local rate
• Housing may be available for local candidates if openings exist
